Forklift Operator – Hodges, SC
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 pm–10:30 pm)
Pay: $17.25 per hour (Biweekly pay and benefits)
Full-Time
Training required on 1st Shift (Mon‑Fri 6:00 am–2:30 pm) at $16.50 per hour, then transition to 2nd shift.
About the Role
As a Forklift Operator – Logistics Clerk, you will perform complex material control functions to ensure accuracy of inventory and/or storage records in association with Shipping/Receiving responsibilities.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
Assists investigating and resolving problems associated with the materials systems and procedures
Controls the procedure for receiving purchased materials and shipping out going materials
Investigates discrepancies between Master Stock Records and actual stock count
Performs moderately complex clerical functions including receiving, classifying, reconciling, consolidating, and summarizing documents and information
May be asked to analyze the supply chain, transportation, and distribution network and develop recommendations for reducing freight costs, creating material efficiencies, and improving on‑time delivery
Compiles regular and special reports using established formats and procedures to communicate statistical data on the tracking of product shipments, returns, and inventory
Maintains records or logs to verify completeness and accuracy of information
Sets up and maintains files and records in addition to using a PC, calculator, and other standard office equipment for recording, storing, retrieving, and compiling information
Possesses knowledge of organization or department procedures
Required Qualifications
Shows willingness to expand leadership skills, technical knowledge, and ability to learn and adapt to rapid changes in overall direction
Excellent computer skills
Valid Forklift driver certification
Ability to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds for intervals of 15‑30 minutes
Work at heights of up to 30 feet from the floor, work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures, and walk, squat and bend over for intervals of 15‑30 minutes, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to read/write and interpret documents, the ability to perform a variety of clerical functions and do basic math
Warehouse and/or order filling experience
Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and individuals
Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
