HR Generalist

Job Summary
The HR Generalist will support the Human Resources department by maintaining functions such as personnel policies and regulatory compliance.
Hours and Wages
Monday-Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM or 7:30AM-4:30PM
Starting wage: $24.00-$28.00 per hour, based on experience
Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a primary contact for employee questions, concerns, and HR-related issues
Support resolutions of employee relations matters, including investigations and documentation
Promote a positive and inclusive work environment
Partner with hiring managers to assist with the interview process as needed
Facilitate onboarding and new hire orientation processes
Support performance review processes and employee development planning
Coach managers on performance issues, documentation, and corrective actions
Administer employee benefits programs and respond to employee inquiries as needed
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws
Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
Manage employee records and ensure data accuracy in HRIS systems
Coordinate employee training and development programs
Support Leadership development initiatives
Maintain HR systems, reports and employee data
Track and analyze HR metrics such as turnover, hiring and engagement
Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment laws
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Strong organizational and time management skills
Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Education and Experience
At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in human resources preferred
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
