SOCIAL WORKER (MSW) | BEHAVIORAL HEALTH EVERGREEN IOP | FULL TIME FLEXIBLE SHIFTS 23470
The Social Worker (MSW) will provide comprehensive social work services to individuals and families within the Evergreen IOP behavioral health program. Responsibilities include assessment, counseling, case management, and collaboration with the interprofessional team.
Social work assessment, counseling, consultation, and planning.
Clinical social work under LCSW supervision: assessments, counseling, advocacy.
Supervises students completing social work coursework.
Provides individual and group counseling on emotional and mental health issues.
Conducts clinical assessments of mental, emotional and physical health, especially for substance abuse cases.
Maintains detailed client records and completes psychosocial histories.
Performs professional consultations with medical staff and court officers.
Orders screenings, intake assessments, and referrals for services.
Provides case management to ensure treatment plans and discharge planning.
Serves as resource to healthcare team on chemical dependence and psychosocial issues.
Acts as liaison with community providers and assists with linkage referrals.
Presents to schools, agencies, and community resources.
Participates in interdisciplinary diagnostic conferences and case presentations.
Facilitates documentation, reporting, and statistical requirements.
Provides clinical supervision to paraprofessionals and students.
Offers consultative services to program and community agencies.
Assists in developing discharge care plans.
Education
Masters in Social Work from an accredited school of social work
Licensure and Certification
Current NJ license as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Clinical Social Worker (CSW)
Valid driver's license
American Heart Association Heart Saver Certification (BLS)
Position Qualifications
1‑2 years of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health social work
Experience with substance abuse populations
Knowledge of addiction treatment modalities (including pharmacology)
Record‑keeping and reporting skills
Cultural competence
Strong oral and written communication
Excellent organizational skills
English proficiency; bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish) are a plus
Job Setting / Physical Demands
Program locations; contact with patients, families, and staff
Somewhat sedentary with required mobility
Occasional lifting and transfer of patients
Physical effort when de‑escalating situations
Emergency and crisis situations handling
Salary
Salary commensurate with experience within posted range: $37.10 - $60.60 per hour
Differentials: EVE 10% / NIGHT 12% / WKND $2.00 P/H
