Industrial Laundry Maintenance Mechanic – 9:30am to 6pm
Location: Vestis Rudder Rd, Memphis, Tennessee.
Overview
Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for safe, expeditious, and accurate performance of routine preventive maintenance tasks around the facility.
Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Maintains all plant equipment, including high-volume industrial washers and dryers.
Repairs, replaces equipment when necessary; performs basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work.
Troubleshoots and solves technical issues by following technical manuals and schematics.
Orders parts, tools, and equipment in a timely manner following company procurement policy.
Maintains a daily schedule control for equipment maintenance and record-keeping.
Conducts daily removal and processing of waste solids generated from treatment processes.
Performs equipment troubleshooting, necessary repairs, and completes preventive maintenance and housekeeping practices for wastewater hardware.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment, observing best practices in all production activities.
Uses safety precautions, follows electrical lock‑out tag‑out procedures and all safe work practices for all safety, boiler, and wastewater treatment procedures.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Demonstrated mechanical and basic electrical aptitude.
Familiar with standard maintenance procedures, preventive maintenance schedules, and proper safety techniques.
Basic knowledge of industrial laundry equipment and required codes.
Ability to comprehend and perform all required training, written, and verbal instructions.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to meet an attendance schedule; work is based on a shift schedule and may include weekends and overtime.
Working Environment / Safety Requirements
Work performed in a high volume production warehouse setting, regularly exposed to outside weather, extreme heat and cold, dust, and noise.

Requires ability to routinely move, lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to work from elevated heights using ladders, mezzanines, and aerial lifts.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; 3‑5 years of maintenance experience.
