Job Overview
Vestis is seeking a Loader/Unloader to assist our team of Route Sales Reps/drivers in the service department. This position is responsible for the accurate and efficient loading and unloading of delivery vehicles in a safe manner. The loader assists other areas of the service team as requested, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Vestis is a leading provider of branded identity apparel and facilities services programs, and our work helps enhance employee image, brand identity, and safety.
Responsibilities
Offloads soiled goods in a safe and efficient manner.
Transports soiled goods to required areas for transport.
Aids other service employees.
Qualifications
Must report to work at the scheduled time set by the Production Manager.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must have reliable transportation to the facility on a daily basis.
Must be able to maneuver garment baskets, linen racks, 2‑wheelers, and pallet jacks.
High school or GED diploma recommended but not required.
Ability to lift 75 pounds and push or pull up to 70 pounds.
Comfortable with a fast‑paced work environment that may include fluctuating temperatures and loud noise levels.
Forklift certification recommended but not required.
Benefits
Employees receive medical, dental, vision, and pension plans; 80 hours of vacation, 40 hours of floating holidays, and paid sick time each year; and six paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
Compensation
Hourly rate ranges from $14.18 to $21.15, based on skill set, qualifications, prior experience, and market data.
