Job Description
Position Summary
The Oracle EBS Technical Architect supports the design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Oracle EBS system and its applications, ensuring robust, standards-driven solutions that meet business needs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Build and extend Oracle EBS functionality using SQL, PL/SQL (packages, procedures, functions), Forms, Reports, XML/BI Publisher, OAF extensions, workflows, and interfaces, adhering to Oracle and internal standards.
Leverage Oracle EBS architecture, APIs, and table structures to develop EDI solutions (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and custom integrations.
Collaborate with senior Oracle EBS team members, IT staff, functional experts, and end users to define technical and functional requirements.
Provide daily technical support for Oracle EBS, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues for business users.
Review requirements and create technical design docs, keeping them updated per change management processes.
Apply working knowledge of Oracle R12, 11g RDBMS, Developer 10g (Forms, Reports), Linux, Workflow Builder, SOA, Java, and Business Intelligence tools.
Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders to gather and share technical details.
Stay current with evolving technologies and systems, maintain up-to-date skills, and pursue relevant industry certifications as needed.
Back up other IT team members in cross-trained roles as needed.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in an Information Systems related field or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
6+ years of systems design and implementation
Practical knowledge of Oracle EBS modules:
Order Management, Advanced Pricing, Work in Process, Configure to Order, Oracle Purchasing, Receivables, General Ledger, Payables, Payments, Cash Management, Advanced Collections, Mobile Supply Chain, Inventory, Cost Management, Bills of Material
