Position Summary
The Harvest Hall Busser plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall guest experience at Harvest Hall. This position ensures that all common spaces, dining areas, restrooms, and service stations are kept clean, stocked, and visually appealing while upholding high standards of sanitation and guest service.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness of Harvest Hall common spaces, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests.
Spot clean drink stations, chairs, table bases, doors, walls, baseboards, and other surfaces as needed. Maintain the stock and cleanliness of stations during all meal periods, ensuring availability of silverware, linens, and condiments.
Clean entrance door glass, tracks, and elevator tracks.
Spot clean all spills.
Dust and damp mop cement floors, keeping them free of debris.
Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and transport trash to the dumpster. Wipe down the trash stations.
Sweep/mop/clean elevator doors and call buttons.
Guest Service & Table Maintenance
Clear, clean, and reset tables with proper service wares, ensuring readiness for the next guest.
Transport dirty tableware from the dining area to the dish drop area, sorting it accordingly.
Wipe down booths and chairs, moving furniture and cleaning floors as necessary.
Ensure dining rooms, waiting areas, and service areas are clean, organized, and visually appealing.
Clean and Sanitize Employees and Public Restrooms, Including
Spray and wipe partitions, sinks, countertops, toilets, and urinals with disinfectant.
Clean mirrors and refill all paper and soap dispensers.
Sweep and mop all floor surfaces.
Empty trash and replace liners.
Wipe down air conditioning vents, frames, doors, moldings, baseboards, walls, and partitions.
Perform special cleaning projects, such as dusting, polishing, and scrubbing walls, based on weekly needs.
Communication & Teamwork
Respond promptly and professionally to guest service issues, reporting them to the appropriate Supervisor or Manager on Duty.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Conduct oneself professionally, maintaining an awareness that all actions and communications may be observed by guests.
Assist with any additional tasks or responsibilities assigned by the Manager.
Maintain an acceptable appearance for assigned station and surrounding areas.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to think and communicate clearly in high pressure situations.
Ability to move quickly and gracefully throughout the dining room.
Growing knowledge of the food hall’s kitchens and menus.
Ability to maintain regular attendance and be punctual in a complete uniform for any scheduled shift.
Knowledgeable of basic sanitation.
Knowledgeable of computer operations and ordering procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co‑workers, and supervisors.
Ability to absorb large amounts of information quickly: service procedures, menus, and dining room floor plan, register operation.
Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands
Ability to walk and stand throughout an eight‑hour shift.
Ability to lift, balance and carry large, oval dining room service trays.
Must be able to lift, push, pull and move up to 40 lbs.
Required Personal Protective Equipment
Closed toe, non‑canvas and non‑skid soled shoes.
