PAO Graphic Artist, SBS FT Riley - (2291)
Support the Offset Systems Group (OSG) JV’s contract efforts for the Support Base Services (SBS) contract to the United States Army Garrison (USAG) in Fort Riley, KS. Provide professional graphic and visual communications support to the 1st Infantry Division Public Affairs Office (PAO) and the Installation Management Command (IMCOM).
Responsibilities
Assist the PAO with timely, efficient support for news releases, feature articles, and visual media while ensuring grammatical accuracy, clarity, and adherence to AR 360‑1 and AP Style Guide.
Coordinate, synchronize, oversee, report, and brief command information requests and missions throughout division and garrison levels.
Create camera‑ready graphics, photographs, illustrations, diagrams, and multimedia presentations using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom) and other industry‑standard software.
Maintain the Division’s Audiovisual Information Library, including cataloging and indexing all audiovisual products.
Design and produce a wide variety of visual information products for printed media, exhibits, live and recorded presentations, and other communications media.
Plan visual aspects of printed materials, exhibits, and presentations, selecting appropriate typefaces and layout elements.
Train and assist PAO personnel on Adobe Creative Suite usage.
Ensure personal hygiene and a clean, neat appearance; wear attire appropriate for the work environment and comply with OSHA requirements.
Communicate effectively with government military and civilian personnel in English.
Perform basic addition and subtraction functions and accurately report emergencies as required.
Qualifications
Proficient in personal computers and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom).
Experience designing graphic/visual effects for courseware material and multimedia presentations.
Ability to use specialized software for high‑quality illustrations, technical drawings, and animations.
Capable of using specialized hardware/software for video/audio capture and editing.
Strong knowledge of layout design principles and quality control of graphics development.
Good communication skills in spoken, written, and read English.
Ability to perform basic math and report incident information accurately.
Clearance
Must possess a favorable NACI Background check.
