When you join us as a Meat Department Team Member, you will* Stock and rotate fresh, frozen, and packaged meat products* Maintain proper temperature, sanitation, and food safety standards* Assist customers with product questions, recommendations, and special requests* Set and maintain attractive displays following Meijer merchandising guidelines* Keep prep areas, coolers, and counters clean and organized* Follow department procedures for cutting, wrapping, labeling, and storing product* Support inventory management and back‐stock organization* Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to meet department goals* You are detail-oriented and organized.* Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually.* Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.* Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary.* Process-driven with ability to follow procedures in an organized and efficient way.* Ability to stay calm while working in a fast-paced environment.* Desire to work with customers on a consistent basis.* Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product.* Ability to stand for long periods of time.**Meijer starts with me.**We love working with talented people but more than that, we look for team members who thrive in a collaborative environment and want to help us build on our family culture.
