Job Description
Parsons is looking for a highly skilled Sr. Construction Inspector to join our team.
The role is on a casual basis overseeing inspections for FAA or Parsons construction subcontractors supporting FAA upgrades to the National Airspace System. Position primarily supports Parsons' Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) with the FAA in the Southern Region, based out of Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities
Perform inspections and surveillances based on training received.
Interact cross‑functionally with project team members and management.
Implement inspection, examination, and testing procedures and record data.
Plan inspections, evaluations, and tests; prepare and set up related equipment.
Evaluate the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination, and testing results and report findings.
Evaluate the adequacy of specific programs used to train and test inspection personnel.
Perform and document inspections of subcontractor work.
Oversee subcontractor inspections and review subcontractor work; audit subcontractor‑generated quality records.
Perform First‑Article / In‑Process Inspection as needed (may include source inspection).
Ensure compliance with HSE requirements applicable to the work scope.
May participate in establishing and implementing a Quality Controls Inspectors certification program.
May participate in qualifying and certifying QC Inspectors at all levels.
Document and communicate inspection results clearly.
Understand contract requirements and subcontractor contract requirements.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience on FAA or other government facilities.
Construction, safety, and quality training/certifications a plus.
Comfortable overseeing activities for adherence to quality standards and processes in one or more of the following areas: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Instrumentation and Controls, Civil, Structural, Architectural, HVAC, Welding, Non‑Destructive Examination, Receiving, and Special Processes.
Willing to work overtime when required.
Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug test.
Ability to meet customer security requirements; a background check by Federal Authorities will be performed.
Desired Skills
Ability to communicate clearly and interface effectively with a diverse group of professionals.
Very good analytical skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of the company.
Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and presentation.
Very good computer skills with working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access.
Proficiency in the use of computers and software packages needed to support the documentation, analysis, and retention of quality records.

Compensation
Salary Range: $35.96 - $62.93.
