Instructional Aide (3.75 hrs) - Harmony Elementary

Job Description

The School District of Milton is seeking applicants for an Instructional Aide position at Harmony Elementary (Grades 4K - 3). The employee will be able to assist students with daily lessons, assist the teachers with developing learning materials, promote communication and understanding between the school and the student’s home. Other responsibilities beyond the classroom include providing additional support (tutorial assistance) to students outside of the classroom and supervision of students in other settings (cafeteria, playground and during arrival/dismissal).
Work Schedule & Salary

The employee will be working three (3) hours and forty‑five (45) minutes per day (eighteen (18) hours and forty‑five minutes per week) and daily hours from 10:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to shadow Harmony staff in May/June 2026 and learn more about the position, with specific dates and times to be coordinated. The starting wage is $16.60 per hour, with additional compensation available for candidates with prior experience as an instructional aide in a public‑school setting.
Qualifications

Candidates should be organized, have strong communication skills, and be able to collaboratively work well with others (including other aides, teachers, students and parents). The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school setting and demonstrate empathy for children. A valid Wisconsin driver’s license is required.
