We have an opening for a
Beverage Manager
who leads and evolves our signature beverage program while playing an integral role in the overall daily restaurant operations across multiple dining venues at The Mather. This diverse, hands-on role focuses on supporting, developing, and engaging the front-of-house teamparticularly bartenders and mixologists, while extending partnership and support to servers as part of seamless service delivery. Working closely with Restaurant and Culinary leadership, the Beverage Manager serves as a key connector between beverage programming, front-of-house service, and the culinary team. While maintaining primary accountability for the beverage program, this role also understands that active involvement in day-to-day restaurant operations and service excellence is essential to the overall resident experience.
This is a full-time, on-site salaried position. Weekend, weeknight, and holiday availability required.
Essential Functions:
Collaborates with Food and Beverage Director in the timely hiring, orientation, scheduling and on-going training and performance management of restaurant team members.
Manages all related systems within the restaurants.
Supervises the flow of service to ensure that residents, guests, family members, and staff receive quality dining service.
Inspects workstations for completion of assigned side work.
Responds to resident feedback addressing concerns in a timely, professional manner.
Maintains timely and professional communication with the Food and Beverage Director and the Executive Chef and shares all food comments and suggestions with the Executive Chef.
Ensure that liquor ordering and cost is in line with budget.
Responsible to manage and maintain the equipment necessary to successfully operate the restaurants at or above Mather service standards.
Coordinates and executes theme meals and/or functions and related billing processes and provides accurate and timely information to the Restaurant Manager so that billing for events/functions can occur and resident satisfaction is ensured.
Oversees beverage program in conjunction with the Mixologist to ensure premium service and quality.
Creates, implements, and continuously trains for the Mather Beverage program and the standards that are in place for the program.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
3 years of experience as a bartender or mixologist
Highschool diploma or equivalent
Inventory Management
Recipe and Menu creation
Knowledgeable in Point of Sale and Inventory Management Systems
English language proficiency
Preferred:
Supervisor experience
Mixology or Bartending Certification
