
Laundry Attendant

We are seeking a Part‑Time Hotel Housekeeping Laundry Attendant at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Canton. The role involves supporting our housekeeping team by ensuring linens, towels, and uniforms are cleaned, stored, and delivered efficiently, while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Sort soiled linens, towels, and uniforms by color, fabric type, and level of soiling.
Wash, dry, and fold items according to hotel procedures and care instructions.
Use industrial washing machines, dryers, and pressing equipment safely and efficiently.
Monitor equipment for proper functioning and report any malfunctions or repairs needed.
Check for stains, tears, or damage on linens and garments.
Treat stains and perform minor repairs (e.g., sewing small tears or replacing buttons).
Restock clean linens and towels in storage areas or deliver them to housekeeping or other departments as needed.
Keep an accurate inventory of linens to ensure adequate supply levels.
Clean and organize the laundry room to maintain hygiene and operational efficiency.
Dispose of trash, lint, and other waste materials properly.
Follow health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
Ensure compliance with hotel and brand quality standards for laundered items.
Assist housekeeping staff with additional laundry‑related tasks, such as collecting used linens from guest rooms.
Prioritize tasks to ensure laundry is cleaned and delivered in a timely manner, especially during peak times.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent GED certification.
Prior experience in food service is advantageous.
Demonstrated experience with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
Exceptional ability to manage time effectively and stay organized in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent skills for engaging with guests and collaborating with team members seamlessly.
