Description
Position Summary
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for pre-loading, loading, unloading, and organizing long-length materials while operating forklifts safely and efficiently. This role supports shipping, receiving, and internal departments to ensure accurate and timely material handling.
Pre-load trucks by pulling all material listed on printed orders and staging appropriately.
Load and unload trailers using a forklift.
Safely operate a forklift to move long-length materials (20ft, 24ft, and longer).
Maintain organized, tidy material storage on correct racks and designated locators.
Load curtain-side, Conestoga-style, and hard-side trailers using proper straps, standards, and securement methods to prevent material damage.
Receive and follow verbal instructions regarding material needs for various departments.
Perform general material handling duties within the assigned work area and assist teammates as needed.
Assist with cycle counting and inventory accuracy.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and dock areas.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to spot trailers at the dock for loading and unloading.
Basic computer skills.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Experience operating forklifts to handle large and long materials.
Strong attention to safety and proper load securement.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication skills to follow verbal instructions.
