Position Overview
Full-time Patient Service Representative in the General Surgery team at Baystate Health, Springfield, MA.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Service Representatives perform a variety of tasks throughout the day, including greeting patients, checking in and out, requesting copays, verifying insurance, answering telephones, and faxing medical documents.
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours a week
Monday through Friday, 8–5pm
Location
3300 Main St.
Springfield, MA
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (required)
At least 6 months experience in a medical office setting (preferred)
Great interpersonal skills; must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of medical terminology, keyboard, Microsoft Office, scheduling systems, medical records (electronic and paper), billing, basic math, language, reading and writing, customer service
Education
GED or HiSET (required)
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base pay range: $17.98 – $22.99 – $29.82 per hour
