Summary
The Parts Coordinator manages the parts room and distribution of parts. Responsibilities include shipping and receiving parts, updating transactional data, transferring parts, entering cycle count results, and managing inventory. The coordinator recommends min/max levels and ensures a neat, safe parts room, complying with company and legal requirements, and travels as needed.
Responsibilities
Creates purchase orders for outside labor assigned by Supervisor within CONA.
Orders stock parts based on usage, supervisor communication, and CONA.
Updates status based on physical location and CONA.
Codes and submits all invoices received in IMS for approval.
Orders registration copies as needed using Insights (CRS) Custom remarketing services.
Answers shop phone and assists with service calls.
Orders non-stock parts for planned work within CONA.
Pickup and drop off mail and supplies as needed from main plant.
Receives ordered parts from vendors and distributes as needed.
Identifies and distributes tolls and violations using CONA.
Orders shop/office supplies.
Maintains licensing information by unit within CONA.
Submits new parts and new unit additions to the asset team within CONA.
Assists assigned shops with quarterly parts inventories using CONA.
Assists assigned shops with bi‑annual obsolescence reports for parts using CONA.
Travels to locations covered for inventory support.
Frequently bends, kneels, lifts 50+ pounds, and climbs.
Qualifications
Education: High school or equivalent.
Related Work Experience: Mechanical or fleet shop knowledge can be a plus.
Computer experience: SAP, Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Strong communication skills.
10‑key by touch.
Self‑motivated.
Willing to travel locally to facilities covered.
