Position Summary
The CDL B Commercial Driver operates heavy‑duty trucks with frontload, roll‑off, and rearload lift attachments. Drivers are responsible for picking up containers filled with waste or recyclable material, transporting them to a disposal, transfer, or recycling facility, and safely operating in high‑traffic and congested roads. Skilled backing maneuvers are essential to perform this job.
Our Role
Operate vehicles in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal laws.
Perform pre‑and post‑trip inspections and document checks using the standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
Report unsafe situations or service‑related issues to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
Attend scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required.
Work closely with the Route Manager to improve route efficiency.
Notify the route manager of any incident, accident, injury, or property damage.
Notify the Route Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions or safety hazards.
Communicate customer requests to Dispatch or Route Manager.
Identify and report all containers in need of repairs or replacement.
Ensure the number of containers on the route matches the service level.
Dumps all containers and leaves the customer location clean and debris‑free.
Submit customer tickets when excessive yardage must be removed.
Position and return containers on the customer's property, ensuring lids are replaced, doors closed, and containers do not block drive entrances.
Follow route assignments and complete end‑of‑day documentation and checks.
Assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
Maintain timely attendance in accordance with Company policies and federal, state, and local standards.
Adapt to changing duties based on business needs.
Your Skills
At least 1 year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving within the last 7 years.
Commercial Driver’s License B with an air‑brake endorsement.
Minimum age of 21 years.
Acceptable driving record.
Complete pre‑employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
Strong work ethic, outgoing personality, and eagerness to learn.
Proactive, hardworking, highly organized, and an independent critical thinker.
