Description of Work
This position is located at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head, NC. The role functions as a Housekeeper responsible for maintaining the building, exhibits, and grounds in a clean and organized manner. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, walls, public areas, restrooms, classroom and event spaces, admissions area, parking lot, windows, doors, exhibits, and removal of trash from public and staff containers. The position requires weekend, evening, and holiday work and physical ability to reach, kneel, bend, lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness of all floors, walls, and public areas.
Perform routine cleaning of restrooms, classroom, event, and admissions areas.
Clean windows, doors, and exhibits as needed.
Remove trash from public and staff containers.
Work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Ensure safe and sanitary workplace conditions.
Management Preferences
General experience in cleaning and knowledge of sanitizing products, techniques, and methods.
Ability to perform manual tasks and use cleaning equipment safely.
Minimum Education and Experience
No formal education required; however, one year of relevant experience in manual cleaning tasks is preferred.
Background check required.
