Interim HealthCare of Scranton is hiring Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for summer camp nursing positions throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. This seasonal nursing role offers flexible scheduling, competitive hourly rates, evening/overnight shifts, and serves as a pipeline to school-based skilled nursing opportunities for the 2026–2027 school year.
Job Highlights for the Summer Camp RN/LPN:
$40+/hourly rate or direct hire (up to $800 per week)
Perdiem; work up to 40 + hours per week – primarily evenings and overnights
Opportunity to connect directly with local summer camps for direct-hire camp nurse roles
Live-in / on-campus nursing opportunities available (housing and meals for select camps)
Opportunity to transition into a school nurse or 1:1 skilled nursing need for 2026-27 school year
Responsibilities for the Summer Camp Nurse RN/LPN:
Provide camp nurse care, first aid, and health assessments
Medication administration and health documentation
Respond to camper health needs independently
Communicate with camp leadership and families as needed
Requirements for the Summer Camp Nurse RN/LPN:
Active nursing license (RN/LPN) in the state of Pennsylvania
CPR certification required
Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel longer distances
