About Our Family:
We are a dynamic, fun-loving family of four (six if you include our two Australian Shepherds!) in Menlo Park, with a life full of excitement and activity. With both parents being corporate executives who travel frequently for work, we’re looking for someone to be the steady presence in our home so that we can refocus on making the most of our time together as a family.
Whether it's snowboarding on the slopes in the winter, enjoying sunny beach vacations, or exploring new destinations together, we love to travel together as a family. Our second home in Virginia is our sanctuary—a peaceful retreat where we unwind, kayak on the water, and embrace the slower pace of life.
Our two teenage sons, ages 15 and 17, are involved in various sports, and we make it a priority to support them as they grow. Whether it's lacrosse, soccer, cross-country, or track, we’re always cheering them on from the sidelines.
Despite our active schedules, we strive to create a sense of calm and structure in our home. Our ideal House Manager will keep our home organized, run the day-to-day smoothly, and take care of the little things that would otherwise add mental load to our already busy lives. You’ll be an integral part of helping us enjoy our family time to the fullest, allowing us to focus on what matters most.
Who You Are:
You are someone who thrives on creating order and making sure everything is running smoothly behind the scenes. You are organized, proactive, and detail-oriented—able to anticipate needs and tackle tasks without needing to be told. You take initiative and can work autonomously in a professional home environment while always keeping each family member’s needs in mind. We value someone who can read the room, step in when necessary, and handle tasks with a calm, steady energy—and of course, a great sense of humor is a must!
Our ideal candidate is tech-savvy with a knack for streamlining systems and managing schedules. You understand how to balance multiple tasks, juggle different priorities, and ensure nothing slips through the cracks. You should feel confident in taking on both household management tasks and assisting with light meal prep, always maintaining a sense of professionalism while also having fun with the family—and not taking yourself too seriously!
Above all, we’re looking for someone trustworthy —someone who understands the importance of confidentiality and privacy and can step in as a reliable, supportive partner long-term. We also need someone who loves dogs and enjoys the energy that two Australian Shepherds bring into the household. If you're someone who is proactive, flexible, and enjoys the sense of satisfaction from making someone's life a little easier, with a good laugh along the way, you’ll be a great fit for our family.
If you have a passion for wine or a background in hospitality, and you're interested in managing our wine cellar, that's a huge plus!
