Job Description
The Pickerington Local School District (PLSD) is seeking interested applicants for a Head Custodian position at Pickerington Kindergarten Center.
This is a 12 month position working 1st shift hours (6:30am - 3:00pm).
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalency
Previous custodial work experience preferred
Ability to maintain care of buildings, grounds and equipment
Experience with operating heating and ventilating equipment
Ability to read basic operating instructions
Ability to communicate and work well with others
Knowledge and/or ability to learn technical building systems
Ability to lift, push, pull or carry 80 pounds
Ability to perform manual labor for long periods of time
Demonstrates aptitude for successful completion of tasks assigned
Ability to assist principal/supervisor in creating a safe, clean, positive and comfortable environment
Ability to lead and give instruction to custodians on all working shifts
Ability to follow directions and a strong desire to succeed
Must be friendly, dependable and exhibit a strong work ethic
Ability to maintain and respect confidential information and situations
Ability to work well with students, staff and parents of diverse population
