Job Summary / Basic Function
The VBC Crew Lead will lead the Stage Technicians with the set‑up, strike, and run of all shows that take place at the Val A. Browning Center for the Performing Arts (VBC). This is a position that will take the lead and assist the Production Stage Manager with planning for and running shows. The best fit for this position will be someone with knowledge of multiple areas of technical theater, Stage Management, Lighting, Sound, and Video Production. Applicants should be able to lift/carry 40 pounds.

Required Qualifications
3+ years in technical theater with at least 1 of those years being at the VBC.

Physical Activity of This Position
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, etc.; agility emphasized. Bending, climbing, moving on hands and knees or hands and feet; extending arms in any direction; standing for sustained periods; using upper extremities to press, exert force, lift or move objects; expressing or exchanging ideas which require detailed instructions; repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and fingers.

Physical Requirements of This Position
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly.

Visual Acuity Requirements
Required to have visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work or to make general observations of facilities or structures.

Conditions of Work
Worker subject to noise; noise level may require shouting to be heard above ambient noise.
