As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for an Imports Purchasing Administrator to join our Supply Chain team.

You will be responsible for import functions including purchasing materials from overseas vendors in accordance with demand and production plans to ensure on‑time delivery to relevant sites for Croda North America.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Using SAP MRP, day to day review of proposed output and make decisions on the viability of turning planned purchase requisitions into firm purchase orders.

Ensure all forward demands are being met and take appropriate action to add, move or cancel purchase orders to minimize working capital.

Monitor inventory levels of imported goods and determine re‑order points.

Solicit forecasts from sales force to assist with demand planning.

Organize and maintain relevant purchase order correspondence order history to provide easy order tracking.

Consistent follow‑up on all purchase orders to ensure goods ship as requested.

Input and maintain accurate pricing information within SAP purchase information records.

Relay arrival/delay details to customer service in order to notify customers awaiting goods.

Collect invoices, bill of ladings and all other pertinent documents for import shipments to ensure customs clearance is completed in a timely manner and within North America regulations.

Continually stay up to date on international compliance and government regulations.

Review monthly OTIF reports and identify potential areas for improvement to manager.

Monthly review of imported materials for necessary actions to minimize stocking levels and maintain minimal blocked or aged stock. Maintain communication and cooperation with Croda affiliates and external vendors.

Investigate customer complaints for imported materials and action returns as appropriate (return, disposal, etc.)

Maintain accurate import files per established Croda guidelines and US legal requirements. Set up and maintain tracking file for every import.

The Import Purchasing Administrator will perform all job duties within Croda’s safety, health, and environmental regulations. All other duties as assigned by management.

Who We’re Looking For:

High School Graduate, Bachelor's degree preferred.

Ability to understand and interpret demand plans and forecasting information to effectively manage import purchase orders.

Certification in Import Documentation or Global Logistics and Management preferred.

Must have oral & written proficiency in the English language.

Must be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Detail oriented and ability to multi‑task.

Ability to sit, walk, and/ or stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day.

Additional Information
This is a hybrid position based at our Princeton, NJ site.

Expected Hourly Rate: $31.25 to $38.46.

This range reflects the base salary the company reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level. Additional compensation, such as annual bonuses or other incentives, may be offered based on eligibility and company policies.
