This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages the logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly. The Sr. Associate, Supply Chain Planning (Professional Path), is primarily responsible for optimizing supply chain outcomes through specialized tasks and independent research. You will gather demand information, analyze trends, adjust production schedules, manage inventory, and coordinate with procurement for timely materials.Responsible for aligning sales forecasts with production capacities, inventory levels, and distribution strategies to optimize business performance. Responsible for planning, controlling, and managing finished goods inventory to meet production and customer requirements. Responsible for analyzing historical data and market trends to predict product or service demand and optimize resource allocation
**Specifics Include:**
Gather global and regional demand information, analyze trends, and adjust production schedules.Manage inventory levels across distribution centers and markets to meet demand while minimizing excess.Coordinate with global and regional procurement for timely material availability and secure materials while maintaining international supplier relationships.Align with global production and capacity planning schedules.
Make decisions within the scope of assigned tasks using advanced knowledge and analytical skills.
Handle more complex and senior-level tasks compared to Sr. Associate II with exposure to global planning complexity.
Adhere to Good Practice (GxP) regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing required training in a regulated global environment.
