Project Manager – DISA Defense Red Switch Network
The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos has an opening for an experienced Project Manager for the DISA Defense Red Switch Network in support of an enterprise VoIP management system GSM-O II contract at Fort Meade, MD.
The Project Manager is responsible for working within a fast‑paced project team to deliver high quality products efficiently and effectively. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and can work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. This position requires strong communication and problem‑solving skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to drive project success.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage multiple concurrent tasks and projects to support the planning and implementation of the Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN)
Work independently, engage with required stakeholders, and execute an end‑to‑end plan to achieve operational efficiencies within the program
Work closely with technical resources to develop an approach, schedule, risks, and staffing requirements to successfully implement the objectives
Communicate with internal team members across multiple areas, external stakeholders, and the DISA customers
Analyze external activities that may drive dependencies or risks to the plan(s)
Understand all applicable performance standards, operational impacts, and affected Acceptable Levels of Performance that may be impacted by the change
Support process improvements, including identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions to streamline project execution
Provide overall support for customer meetings, including initial input for charts, action‑item tracking, and general data calls
Understanding of DISA implementation process and standard
Understanding of Site Assessment, Site Survey, Installation, and Commissioning equipment
Ability to interact/communicate with customers
Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress, and identifying external dependencies, risks, or delays
Prepare project documentation, including CDRLs, ROMB, COR/PMR/MOR Charts, 5x15, presentations, reports, and meeting minutes and actions
Assist/Monitor project tasks are completed in compliance with Leidos and customer policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
Coordinate and transfer inputs for program reviews (e.g., MOR, QBRs, etc.) and actions item tracking/coordination
Basic Qualifications
Active DoD TOP SECRET Clearance with SCI Eligibility
Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent work experience. Additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree
Self‑Starter who is detail oriented, extremely organized, and with multitasking abilities
Strong attention to detail, as focus on task completion is critical
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Assist in the planning and implementation of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and scope
Organize and lead project meetings, ensuring all relevant parties are involved and informed
Assist in resolving project related issues or obstacles in a timely and effective manner
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and delivering quality results
Experienced listener with the ability to understand technical interactions and collaborate across multiple teams
Comfortable interacting with customers and stakeholders
Proficient in project management software
Expertise in identifying areas of improvement, critical dependencies, and process changes that enable the Government to attain integrated outcomes that are effective, efficient, sustainable, and improve customer satisfaction
Experience coordinating with multiple technical and operational teams to achieve the necessary program, project or activity plans, and schedules while maintaining within budget guidelines
Experience in assigning tasks to contractor personnel that are located in multiple time zones, supervising on‑going technical efforts, and managing contract performance on projects identified by Leidos leadership
Preferred Qualifications
PMP Certification
DISA Experience
Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards
Experience briefing leadership and/or customers of key status of project progression
Experience in identifying project risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and managing contingencies effectively
Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards
Experience in delivering presentations, preparing executive‑level reports, and engaging with both internal teams and external stakeholders
Pay Range
$116,350.00 - $210,325.00
