About the Role
Mollie Stone’s Markets is looking for a Full-Time Wine and Spirits Manager-Head Clerk in San Francisco at our Grand Central location. The perfect candidate must have passion and experience in wine and specialty spirits as well as a desire to develop their product knowledge to provide a tailored shopping experience for all customers. The perfect candidate will not only have a love of wine and spirits but have a passion for food and groceries. Local candidates only.
Essential Functions
Assist customers with questions while providing exceptional customer service.
Remain current and continually expand knowledge of wine and spirits to inform and educate our guests as well as give suggestions and pairing ideas with food.
Merchandise and maintain correct signage throughout the department.
Oversee the processing and stocking of new shipments.
Inventory control.
Transporting merchandise from storage areas and sales floor.
Assist in other departments if needed and cashiering.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail with a focus on wine/spirits
Previous experience in grocery in a supervisory role.
Previous cash handling skills a plus.
Competencies
Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
Self-motivated and energetic.
Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
Ability to develop product knowledge and stay current.
Travel Requirements
Independent and reliable local travel up to 50% of the time.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
Standing: Up to 8 hours per day.
Walking: Up to 8 hours per day.
Reaching: Up to 4 hours per day.
