Warehouse Worker

SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, receives, stores, selects and loads products within the warehouse by performing duties as directed by the immediate supervisor or Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Move Merchandise: Operate hand jacks and/or material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach, order pickers, and other various material handling equipment.
Operate material handling equipment up to 95% of the time.
Selection and preparation of customer orders in a manner that insures complete fulfillment of each customer order.
Accurate receipt and documentation for inbound product.
Affix pallet tags and mark materials with other identifying information upon receipt.
Convey products and materials from receiving areas to storage or other designated areas.
Place items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined slot assignments.
Rotate stock to enable oldest stock to be most accessible for picking.
Read pick tickets, pick labels (or on-screen display, etc.), assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets. Load trailers with merchandise scheduled to be shipped.
Record information as directed to track the above activities.
Perform tasks in a manner consistent with the zero errors policy of the company.
Maintain performance at or above productivity standards and service level targets established by the company.
Operate within applicable safety guidelines as per government regulations, the company’s safety manuals and/or stated safety policies, and common sense.
Perform inspection of material handling equipment and maintain fluid levels to ensure continued optimal operation.
Perform work in a manner so as to prevent damage to company equipment, facilities and products.
Ensure proper warehouse cleanliness is maintained at all times.
Follow up on all customer requests and questions to ensure appropriate response is made and customer is satisfied.
Treat all customers (both internal and external) with respect, courtesy and kindness.
Uphold and comply with policies and attitudes adopted by the company.
Accept responsibility to think about how own actions and the actions of associates affect customers and the company.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and otherwise posted or communicated.
Other duties as assigned to help meet company goals.
