About the Role
As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentor junior technicians.
Key Responsibilities
Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all MHE (e.g., belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays).
Maintain a positive working relationship across the Amazon Operations facility.
Move up to 49 lbs, stand and walk for shifts up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching.
Basic Qualifications
High school or equivalent diploma.
1+ year of Microsoft Office experience.
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Certification from Amazon’s Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
2+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
2+ years of demonstrating safety standards.
2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.
2+ years of experience with electrical and electronic principles.
Associate’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
2+ years of mechanical or electrical apprenticeship experience.
