SENIOR TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER (CI POLYGRAPH REQUIRED)

NorthHill Technology Resources has a need for a hands‑on Technical Project Manager to support a cutting‑edge Federal Program in Mclean, VA. This is a direct‑hire role with our client, a growing Federal Integrator with a strong presence in the Intelligence Community. Due to the nature of the work, an active TS/SCI Clearance and CI Polygraph is required. This role is onsite with travel to PA every 4 -6 weeks.

This position will play a key critical role in building, maintaining, and optimizing the underlying infrastructure to support Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads.

You will join a diverse team of platform engineers to design, deploy, maintain, and secure platform infrastructure. You will collaborate with people inside and outside the organization to deliver the highest standards for building, deploying, and securing infrastructure.

Role Expectations
A Senior Technical Project Manager (Sr. TPM) needs a blend of technical expertise, project management proficiency, and leadership abilities. You are not just responsible for keeping a project on track; you navigate project complexity, align it with business goals, and lead a technical team to success.

Proficiency in different frameworks like

Waterfall , and the ability to choose and adapt the best one for a given project.

Strategic Planning:

This involves creating comprehensive project plans, defining the scope, setting clear objectives, and managing deliverables.

Risk and Budget Management:

Skilled at identifying potential risks early on and developing mitigation strategies. Oversee project delivery efforts, ensure delivery timelines are met, and lead the project escalation process.

Change Management:

In a fast‑paced environment, requirements often change. A Sr. TPM must be adaptable and able to manage change requests without derailing the project.

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in distributed systems.

Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to a rapidly evolving cloud‑native landscape.

Additional Skills & Requirements

Experience with Kubernetes cluster deployments to support large‑scale AI platforms

Knowledge of what it takes to deliver Datacenter as a Service

Experience leading ATO efforts and the processes required to maintain security compliance

Strong background in Linux and infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Networking, Storage)

Travel up to 20% of the time, as required, to perform on‑site installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities at customer sites or data centers.
