A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Carpinteria, CA, within a school setting. This contract position runs through the end of the school year (EOSY), with potential to extend based on staffing needs. The district is currently backed up on student services, creating an immediate need for support.
Key responsibilities include providing compensatory speech therapy services to students, both in-person and via teletherapy platforms. Candidates should be prepared to work collaboratively with educational teams to address individualized student goals. The position welcomes experienced SLP professionals holding CCC credentials, those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), and school-based practitioners. An SLPA may be provided to assist with caseload management if you have one available.
Qualifications and desired experience:
Valid SLP certification/license suitable for school and pediatric healthcare settings
Experience delivering speech-language services in schools, healthcare, or teletherapy environments
Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and educational evaluations
Ability to provide compensatory and direct speech therapy services
Experience supervising or working with Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) is a plus
Strong organizational and communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
Location: Carpinteria, CA – on-site school contract position.
