A Teller must be able to identify member financial need(s) and recommend an appropriate credit union product/service solution to fit that need.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate enthusiastic support of Credit Union of Texas’s vision, core values, employee creed, and long term objectives by delivering an unexpected experience through outstanding service.
Process share account and checking account deposits and withdrawals, loan/lease payments, and credit card payments.
Negotiate check cashing transactions, process negotiable instruments (cashier’s checks, money orders), and process credit card cash advances.
Identify member financial needs and recommend appropriate credit union product/service solutions.
Meet or exceed sales and service goals established by leadership.
Apply due diligence by placing appropriate holds on checks deposited in accordance with Regulation CC and CUTX Funds Availability Policy.
Perform job duties within bylaws, regulations, Board of Directors policies, and internal and external service standards, including compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti‑Money Laundering, Office of Foreign Assets Control, and USA Patriot Act.
Protect member information and other sensitive information by maintaining confidentiality in line with the credit union’s privacy policy.
Maintain store security by securing keys, combinations, documents, records, and negotiable items, and comply with robbery and hold‑up procedures.
Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalency.
Minimum six months or more of similar or related experience.
Credit check required; credit in good standing necessary for eligibility.
Physical Requirements
Using primarily fingers for small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching. Grasping, talking, repetitive wrist/hand/finger motions. Average hearing and visual acuity. Sedentary work required; occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
Working Conditions
No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions; construction requires hard hat.
