
MANUFACTURING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Responsible for ensuring CNC machine reliability and plant uptime through advanced troubleshooting, repair, and PM execution across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and CNC control systems.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair:
Servo drives, spindle drives, power supplies
Axis feedback systems (encoders, resolvers)
Tool changers, pallet changers, and ATC mechanisms
Coolant, lubrication, and chip conveyor systems
Troubleshoot CNC alarms using ladder logic, I/O diagnostics, and parameter reviews
Perform recovery from crashes, over‑travel faults, and tool‑change failures
Interface with OEM service techs and support remote diagnostics
Respond to CNC downtime events
Perform root cause analysis on failures
Restore machines to production safely and quickly
Owns small to mid‑size CNC reliability projects (PM upgrades, alarm reduction, spare parts strategy)
Tracks deliverables, deadlines, and risks
Communicates progress clearly
Serve as an active Safety Team member
Maintain HAZWOPER and advanced safety certifications
Lead safety inspections and corrective actions
Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis
Mentor others on safety practices and compliance
Maintain and keep workstation and department area clean
Demonstrate sound working knowledge of firearms safety
Wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment directed by the Company at all times
Adhere to all employment policies/safety policies/practices required by law/established by the Company
Other duties will be assigned as required.

Industrial Maintenance training/certification
Proven CNC troubleshooting experience
Strong electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic skillset
Familiarity with CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, etc.)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate facility vehicles and equipment as needed.
Preferred: Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems; experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
