Security Guard – Gate Access
Location: Carson, CA. In this unarmed officer role, you will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries, including food and beverage, with routine patrols, a visible presence to deter incidents, and strong communication to support daily operations.
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour
Job Schedule: Daytime – Wed 08:00 PM – 04:00 AM, Thur 08:00 PM – 04:00 AM, Fri 08:00 PM – 04:00 AM, Sat 08:00 PM – 04:00 AM
What You’ll Do
Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a food and beverage location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner and report relevant details to site leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, production‑adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and vendor entry as directed by site procedures, and document arrivals, departures, and/or other security‑related activity.
Support order at the location by observing for potential hazards, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior, then communicating concerns through proper reporting channels.
Minimum Requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
