Purpose and Objective
SAP America, Inc. seeks an IT Technology Services Senior Specialist at our Tempe, AZ location to design and develop systems, applications, products, services and data to optimize / automate SAPʼs business processes and improve work efficiency.
Expectations and Tasks
Engage with business stakeholders and other technology teams to deliver solutions to business requirements. Perform complex data and system development along with technology integration through learned technology coding languages. Facilitate the system, service, and product lifecycle, and ensure stable, secure, performant and high available operations for and between system and cloud services. Revise and update existing programs and provide required documentation. Manage cloud technologies, the associated architectural styles (e.g. microservices, containerization, serverless architectures) and web development stacks. Apply agile software delivery process and the industry-standard toolset for DevOps implementation. Apply modern data processing technologies and methods, such as non‑SQL databases or data lakes. Apply modern SaaS platform, integration, and extensibility concepts.
Education and Occupational Experience
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience
Performing comprehensive performance assessments (memory, disk I/O, IOPS, and CPU Utilization) for SAP systems running on Hyperscalers platform;
Developing and implementing performance optimization strategies for SAP Applications, HANA DB, MS‑SQL, Sybase and Azure Infrastructure;
Database Administration, Application and System Administration, Installation, Patching, Upgrades, Performance Tuning for various Databases and Applications on heterogenous and homogeneous environments;
System Administration activities on modern virtualized cloud based and On-premises Environment including System Monitoring, System Performance Tuning, Oracle/HANA/MS‑SQL, Sybase Database Administration, Systems Release Upgrade, and System Release Update for multiple SAP products;
Power BI, Oracle, SQL Report Writers, Data Lake, SQL, SSIS, and SSRS;
Performing SAP BASIS HANA Administration with Strong Virtualization environment;
Prepare root cause analysis report for high priority incidents/issues, including detailed documentation; and
Capacity Management Review (Sizing) for Data Lake, SAP systems, HANA, Resources Utilization for SAP Servers, and Application and Database Servers.

Compensation Range Transparency
The annual base salary range for this position is $157,934 – $195,976. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step towards demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $157,934 – $222,700. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
