The senior talent management partner gathers talent management needs from the business and then co‑designs talent management solutions with other Centers of Excellence and the broader HR community to enable the business to achieve the enterprise strategy. Talent management processes may range from processes throughout the talent lifecycle including performance management, career planning and development, talent planning, etc.
A significant portion of the role is supporting Caterpillar's culture and further enabling the business to best leverage the wide variety of skills, experiences and perspectives that our exceptionally talented colleagues bring to the table. This role has global impact, touches a wide variety of projects and processes and is highly collaborative while also providing significant opportunity to own key bodies of work.
Responsibilities
Staying attuned to talent management trends and best practices and making recommendations for internal improvements
Using external and internal insights to be a trusted advisor and connector within the talent management community
Supporting the business by listening to understand, sharing guidance and partnering to create solutions to benefit the enterprise and critical business initiatives
Providing leadership and governance to employee resource groups to best enable strongest connection and contribution to the enterprise strategy
Ensuring effective change management with all talent management programs, processes and initiatives, consistently applying a continuous improvement approach and feedback loop
What You Will Have: Skills and Competencies

Knowledge of the decision‑making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
Managing Multiple Priorities:
Knowledge of effective self‑management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
Talent Management:
Knowledge of how an organization attracts, recruits, retains, identifies and develops talent; ability to develop the talent required for an organization to achieve its short‑term and long‑term goals.
Training and Development:
Knowledge of employee training and development methodologies; ability to ensure that a target population has the knowledge and skills required to meet both tactical and strategic objectives.

The primary location for this position is Irving, TX or Peoria, IL
This role requires 5 days a week in office
Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify
