Description
The Warehouse Technician is responsible for completing Supply Chain standard operating procedures for the receipt, issue, inventory, replenishment and storage of supplies and equipment. Responsible for picking and receiving inventory items, loading and unloading trucks, and replenishing supply to main campus and extended campus locations. Responsible for identification and management of expired supply and cleanliness of Supply Chain distribution areas. Respond to customer service requests and maintains clear communication between clinical staff and Supply Chain Distribution team.

Qualifications
Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Minimum Work Experience
2 years related and progressive experience in Warehouse or Supply Chain activity and capable of operating heavy equipment. (Required)
1 year related and progressive experience in Supply Chain distribution in health care environment. (Preferred)

Required Skills/Knowledge
Ability to meet the physical demand requirements associated with supply handling in accordance with Supply Chain standard operating procedures. Ability to at least handle 70 lbs.
Ability to operate stationary manual and power equipment such as palletizers, forklift, and ride on.
Ability to perform basic functions on a hand‑held device, with appropriate training.
Demonstrates teamwork/cooperation in providing services to direct/indirect customers.
Ability to maintain clear communication with departmental management, clinical staff and end users.

Functional Accountabilities
Supply Replenishment

Complete and follow Supply Chain standard operating procedures for supply replenishment across main campus and extended campuses. Based on established delivery routes, regularly checks, pulls, cleans, fills and receives supply for full replenishment.

Ensures adequate and accurate supply levels at all times to meet the anticipated demand of clinical staff and end users. Respond to changes in supply demand patterns.

Demonstrates understanding and performs supply staging activities in accordance with Supply Chain standard operating procedures.

Deliver STAT items or special requests to end users as required.

As required, physically count the quantity of on‑hand supply in Supply Chain supply areas to maintain accurate inventory levels.

Manage and communicate stock outs and substitute items with clinical end users and Supply Chain Distribution team.

Safety and Organization

Ensures all Supply Chain distribution areas are organized and clean in accordance with Supply Chain and Infection Control policies and procedures.

Maintain a safe working environment in all Supply Chain distribution areas and supply areas.

Identify to Departmental management when maintenance of a supply area is required. Perform regular maintenance in supply area when needed, including but not limited to hardware replacement, labeling, reorganization, etc.

Ensure quality assurance standards are met by checking and removing outdated and expired supply.

Inventory

Complete and follow Supply Chain standard operating procedures for inventory replenishment including, but not limited to receiving, storage, putaway and picking of inventory items.

Maintain accurate inventory on hand by picking accurate quantities in proper Units of Measure.

As required, perform inventory cycle counts and physically count the quantity of on‑hand supply to maintain accurate inventory levels.

Utilize supply management technology in accordance with Supply Chain standard operating procedures. Maintain accuracy when working with technology and enterprise resource system (ERP).

Communication & Customer Service

Maintain clear communication between clinical end users and Supply Chain Distribution team.

Communicate all supply interruptions including stock outs and backorders to clinical end users and departmental management as soon as information becomes available.

Meets productivity work standards while demonstrating competency in job skills and knowledge by completing scheduled work in allotted timeframe.

Performs other responsibilities as requested by Supervisor, Coordinator, Team Lead or Department Head.
