
Assistant Superintendent, Student Services

Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services serves as a key member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet and provides strategic leadership, oversight, and coordination of districtwide student services systems. This role ensures equitable access, compliance, and high-quality support for all students across the District.
The Assistant Superintendent leads and aligns services related to student discipline, attendance, wellness, alternative education, and specialized student populations. The position supervises the Director of Special Education and the Director of the South County Consortium, ensuring cohesive systems of support and compliance with all state and federal requirements.
This role emphasizes strong relationship-building among students, staff, families, and community partners to foster inclusive, supportive, and effective learning environments. The Assistant Superintendent also serves as the District’s Title IX Officer.
Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred
Master’s degree required
Valid California administrative services credential
5-7 years of leadership experience in student services, special education, or related fields
