
Maintenance Technician (Onsite)

About the Role
Voltage is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to install, commission, maintain, and repair wire harness production equipment — including cutting machines, crimp presses, test stations, and facility systems. Reports to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager. First hires will support equipment receiving and install (starting 6/8); later hires focus on preventive maintenance and line reliability as production ramps.
What You’ll Do
Receive, uncrate, install, and commission new production equipment alongside vendors
Perform preventive maintenance on crimp presses, wire cutters, strippers, seal presses, and continuity testers
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures on production equipment
Maintain facility systems: compressed air, HVAC, lighting, electrical panels, water
Document all work in the CMMS (SAP PM or equivalent) with accurate labor and parts records
Support equipment calibration and validation activities with Quality
Respond to production line-down events; minimize downtime and document root causes
What We’re Looking For
3+ years industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills (AC/DC motors, sensors, PLCs at basic level)
Ability to read electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical drawings
Comfort with hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment
Experience with crimp press maintenance (Schleuniger, Komax, Artos) specifically
PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
Industrial electrical license or equivalent certification
Experience installing new equipment in a startup environment
SAP PM module experience for work order management
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to communicate effectively in person and via phone/video. Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
