JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the coordination of registration of all Harris Health System birth certificates and Acknowledgement of Paternity documents; the registrar will provide assistance, guidance and serve as a resource to new parents with regards to local and state regulations regarding the birth registration process.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure/ Degree: High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree in Heath Information Technician (HIT) (Preferred)
Work Experience (Years and Area): 1 year in hospital or physician's office
Management Experience (Years and Area): N/A
Equipment Operated: PC, photocopier, Fax, Printer, Copier
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact); Bilingual Skills (Preferred)
Other Skills: PC, Typing - wpm 30
Work Schedule: Weekends, Holidays
