Basic Function
The University Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid (UOSFA) invites applications for a full‑time temporary position to assist this summer in the awarding and certification of private loan applications.
Examples of Duties
The successful candidate will be part of a team that awards scholarship funding. Responsibilities will include:
Review reports of external donor scholarship funds received by the University Bursar and Controller’s offices.
Apply external donor scholarship aid to student financial aid award packages, to recipients, and document receipt of funds within the Banner system.
Work in conjunction with members of the Scholarship Team to ensure accuracy in awarding practices and procedures, as well as reviewing accounts for errors.
Ensure the security and confidentiality of all student record information to comply with the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Assist with special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant field; three months experience in student financial aid, customer service, or a relevant field. Knowledge of higher education is a plus.
License/Certification

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Provide excellent service to our students while complying with confidentiality laws and university awarding policies.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Problem solving and problem resolution skills.
Computer applications, including proficiency in Banner and Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word. Use of standard office equipment, including calculator, copier, and fax machine.

This is a temporary position starting May 2026, and working through August 2026. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (This is not a remote position.)
