About the Role
As a Labor and Employment Associate, you will serve as a strategic advisor to visionary companies and business leaders navigating the complexities of California and federal workplace laws. You will manage a dynamic portfolio that balances aggressive litigation defense with proactive counseling. This role is designed for an ambitious practitioner who thrives in a fast-paced, "Big Law" environment and is ready to take on meaningful responsibility in complex trials and high-level investigations.

Key Responsibilities

Litigation Advocacy:

Represent clients in all phases of single-plaintiff litigation and complex class/collective action matters.

Strategic Counseling:

Provide sophisticated everyday employment advice to help clients navigate shifting legal landscapes and mitigate institutional risk.

Internal Investigations:

Conduct and lead sensitive workplace investigations, providing clear, actionable insights to key stakeholders.

Case Management:

Draft high-stakes pleadings, briefs, and motions that translate complex legal theories into winning arguments.

Client Advisory:

Interface directly with HR leaders and executive teams to solve intricate legal problems and support organizational business goals.

Requirements

Experience:

2–5 years of labor and employment or general litigation experience within a large law firm environment.

Technical Proficiency:

Meaningful experience with employment counseling, class actions, and the mechanics of complex litigation.

Bar Admission:

Active membership in the California State Bar is required.

Academic Background:

Outstanding academic credentials from a top-tier law school.

Skills:

Superior writing and research skills, a meticulous eye for detail, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts to sophisticated audiences.
