JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

Valtim Marketing Solutions Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, safety, and reconciliations.

Skills and Specifications

Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.

Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.

Administers the compensation program; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.

Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program; and writes and places advertisements.

Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.

Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.

Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.

Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.

Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.

Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.

This position interacts and communicates directly and regularly with all employees in the company.

External Business Relationships:

This position interacts and communicates directly with benefits vendors, staffing agencies, candidates for employment, and other agencies as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smart phones.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. with evening and weekend hours as needed. Production hours vary by department.

TRAVEL : Minimal

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.

Work experience of 2 years.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Related work experience over 2 years.

Related experience a plus: Printing, Mailing, Fulfillment

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE (IF APPLICABLE)

Must be eligible to work in the United States, without sponsorship requirements.
