Job Summary

The Water Foreman leads the crew to complete daily tasks related to the installation and repair of water pipelines safely and correctly. The position oversees crew safety and productivity, installs and pressure tests both mainline and service line water pipe, and completes routine safety inspections and documentation.
Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate crew work to install water pipelines via open-cut or directional drill methods.
Obtain all necessary licenses, permits, and materials for each job.
Ensure all work quality, standards, and timeliness.
Coordinate and delegate daily tasks to crew members related to digging and placing product.
Gain entry to site buildings for work crew and call in utilities located at each project site.
Facilitate daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections to ensure the crews work safely.
Complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
Train new hires and trainees in the trade.
Track employee hours and submit for payroll on a timely basis.
Inspect existing utilities to ensure proper identification and exposure, that piping is correctly installed and fused, and that the job meets customer specifications and company quality standards.
Drive, haul, and/or operate equipment to/from job sites to assist crews in completion of work.
Keep the job moving on time, clean up, and perform job restoration at the end of job.
Communicate with customers and inspectors.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
3 years of experience with water pipeline construction or maintenance.
2 years of supervisory experience.
Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
OSHA 10 Certification.
Preferred Qualifications

5 or more years of water pipeline construction or maintenance experience.
Pipe fusion certification.
DOT Operator Qualification.
DOT Flagger certification.
OSHA 20 certification.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

This job operates in a field environment and routinely requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, standing, and twisting. Working conditions may include extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind. It requires lifting up to 50 pounds and requires good vision and hand-eye coordination.
