Position Overview:
The Landscape Laborer is responsible for maintaining landscaped areas, event spaces, and surrounding grounds to ensure safe conditions and an exceptional visual presentation. This role focuses on the overall beautification of the property, supporting both daily operations and special events to maintain a clean, polished, and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities:
Maintain landscaped areas to ensure a clean, safe, and visually appealing environment
Perform routine tasks such as mowing, edging, mulching, planting, and general upkeep
Support the beautification of the property through seasonal plantings, flower bed maintenance, and landscape enhancements
Trim trees, shrubs, and maintain decorative landscaping features
Remove debris, manage drainage areas, and maintain walkways, parking areas, and common spaces
Monitor overall grounds conditions and report maintenance or safety concerns
Prepare grounds, parking areas, and common spaces for events and daily use
Assist with setup and breakdown of tents, fencing, signage, tables, and event equipment
Support layout of outdoor spaces to meet event or operational needs
Assist with traffic flow and parking coordination during larger events
Perform post-event cleanup and restore grounds to standard conditions
Safely operate landscaping equipment including mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, blowers, and hand tools
Operate irrigation systems and perform routine adjustments as needed
Maintain tools, equipment, and storage areas in clean and safe working condition
Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment
Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines
Identify and report potential hazards to support a safe working environment
Ensure all grounds are clean, safe, and aligned with company standards
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Experience:
Preferred: Six months (6) - Two (2) years of experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance or general outdoor labor
Preferred: Basic understanding of irrigation systems
Preferred: Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with associates and leadership
Schedule:
Days and start times TBD based on business needs
5-6 day work week
Flexibility to work hours needed based on event schedules
Over time may be optional or required at times
Compensation:
$16.94 per hour
Varying temperatures and weather conditions based on outdoor working conditions
Skills:
Physical abilities
: May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 8 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments;
Strong communication Skills:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis
Organizational Skills:
Ability to fulfill executive directions in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Working in a team based environment:
Working independently and as a team player
Quality:
