Description
Garfield County School District #16 and the Parachute/Battlement Mesa Parks and Recreation District have partnered to provide Cardinal Camp for the Summer of 2026. Cardinal Camp is designed for students entering 1st through 6th grade for the 2026‑2027 school year (students currently enrolled in grades K‑5), and a separate program, Theater Aspen, for students entering grades 3‑12. The six‑week program includes one‑week sessions around a theme such as arts and crafts, sports, and outdoor education. Families can sign up for the weeks that best meet their needs.
Camp dates: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Transportation to and from camp and lunch are provided. All programs will provide lunch. The cost of the programs is $50 per week, per child. Theater Aspen and Extended English Language Learners camps are free.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the Summer Camp Program.
Support teachers with planning and address student concerns.
Qualifications
Internal applicants who hold a professional teacher license or administrative license.
Certified positions require a Colorado certificate or license.
