
Operations Planner

About the Role
Operations Planner across various shifts based in Palmetto, GA. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering results at the operations facility.
Responsibilities
Provide rate quotes for nonstandard transportation, e.g., expedite shipments. Perform order registration which may include special requirements, extra labor, forklifts, cranes, etc.
Ensure on‑time pickup and delivery, track and trace shipments.
Apply applicable late reason codes in accordance with Service Failure tracking and reporting.
Work with customers to resolve inventory discrepancies. Follow up with regard to exception reporting and damage assessment, and communicate to customers.
Participate in process flow documentation and standard operating procedures and identify opportunities for improvement based on customer needs.
Other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications
Customer service background in logistics with ability to handle problem resolution in a timely manner.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook with strong emphasis on Excel for tracking and analysis.
Experience managing inventory in an RF portal and manual system environment. Will travel to warehouse as needed.
Understanding of transportation modes and service levels.
