Salary Range: $88,000.00 To $120,000.00 Annually

Summary:

A Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for providing sales and service to existing and prospective loan customers.

Primary Accountabilities:

Provides information to customers regarding Bank loan opportunities and policies

Advises customers of options available to them, explains the differences between various types of mortgages, and negotiates terms and conditions of loans

Makes sales calls to potential and existing customer to pursue and retain loan business

Solicits loan business through contacts with Brokers, builders, developers, and realtors.

Interviews loan applicants to discuss loan requirements, ascertain customer’s capacity to repay, and assess the degree of risk involved.

Completes loan contracts by explaining provisions to customers; obtaining signatures and notarizations; verifies financial information supplied and collects fees

Looks for ways to improve loan applications and documentation by informing customers of additional requirements

Helps customers by answering debt/loan questions; responds to customer requests

Rejects loans by explaining deficiencies

Develops and maintains customer confidence in the Bank by keeping loan information confidential

Ensures the preparation and processing of forms and legal documents required for loans.

Participates in appraisals and loan closings as required

Continuously updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional/community organizations/events

Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education or experience

3 to 5 years Bank Lending experience.

Professional level of communication, sales and customer service skills.

Ability to handle Public Relations and Community Activities.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Travel via personal transportation to meet clients is required. Individuals must be able to move about freely, stand or sit for several hours at a time and have manual dexterity. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
