We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join the team at the Telecare El Dorado County Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF), a 16-bed locked inpatient hospital providing acute psychiatric care to adults (18+) with serious mental illness. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment delivering high-impact care to a vulnerable population.
Both Independent Contractor and W-2 Employee options are available, offering flexibility based on your preferences. Position Highlights
* Full-time schedule
* Adult inpatient psychiatric setting
* 16-bed PHF with strong interdisciplinary support
* 8-12 ppd
* Collaborative team including nursing, therapists, and case management
* Flexible engagement: 1099 or W-2 options available

Job Responsibilities
* Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses
* Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
* Provide medication management and ongoing clinical care
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
* Complete timely and accurate documentation
* Participate in treatment team meetings and care coordination
Qualifications
* MD or DO, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
* Active or eligible for California medical license
* DEA license (active or eligible)
* Experience in inpatient or acute psychiatric settings preferred
* Strong clinical and communication skills
