
Program Quality Engineer

Leidos’ Defense Systems is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team!
As a Quality Engineer, you will maintain and enforce processes across the CHGB portfolio, develop solutions to complex technical issues, communicate across teams, implement FAI processes, review and approve assembly instructions, approve procurement requisitions, verify data requirements for the PM team, read and understand drawings and technical data packages, write non-conformances and complete RCCA activities, interface with Government and PM customers, complete CDRL data requirements, and carry out other duties assigned by the Quality Program Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain and enforce processes across the CHGB portfolio.
Develop solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple areas or disciplines.
Communicate with internal team members across multiple areas and client team members; may communicate with customers external to the organization.
Implement and verify FAI process.
Review and approve assembly instructions.
Approve procurement requisitions.
Verify data requirements for the PM team.
Read and understand drawings and technical data packages.
Write non-conformances and complete RCCA activities, including review of those completed by other Quality Engineers.
Interface with government and PM customers to ensure product compliance on delivery.
Complete CDRL data requirements.
Other duties as assigned by the Quality Program Manager.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree and 8–12 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 6–10 years of prior relevant experience.
Ability to solve complex problems, relate with other team members, and communicate with management levels.
Knowledge and understanding when reading and interpreting drawings.
Experience in an ISO 9001/AS9100/AS6500 manufacturing environment.
Ability to populate handwritten or computer-generated inspection reports.
Computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
Willingness to travel to customer sites to execute program requirements.
Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to Huntsville-North Alabama, AL, at own expense.
U.S. citizen and possess or be able to obtain Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Government contract and SOW interpretation.
CDRL Deliveries experience.
Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations.
Previous auditing experience.
FAI completion experience.
Metrics tracking experience.
Pay Range
Pay Range: $92,300.00 - $166,850.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement, or other law.
