Hardin County Veterinary Clinic is a small animal clinic nestled along the Tennessee River. Close to the popular tourist location of Pickwick Lake in beautiful southwestern Tennessee, we provide a variety of services for canine and feline family members.

We offer a consistent 8‑5 schedule with no weekends, enabling a better work‑life balance. Our clinic is a 2‑doctor small animal practice located in Savannah TN, on the border between Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama. We seek a veterinarian who will practice high‑quality medicine, build lasting bonds with clients and their pets, and thrive in a diverse caseload that includes routine work‑ups and client‑oriented care.
We are prepared to mentor a new graduate with a customized mentorship plan. All veterinarians of all experience levels are encouraged to apply.
Essential Responsibilities
Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine disease or injuries.
Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
Provide counsel around pet end‑of‑life care.
Maintain patients' medical records.
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
Requirements / Qualifications
DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
Appropriate state licensure.
Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
